Bob Beaumont General Sad! What happened to this unit that led to the condition pictured here? 3/22/2019 9:57:11 PM
Leo Ames General Vandalism on April 10th, 1987. She and a Springfield Terminal GP7 were started moving by an unknown individual and they ended up running off the end of track in Bangor. The Geep stayed upright but the U-Boat went down an embankment and landed on the conductor's side with the unit's nose resting in Shaw Brook. While not totaled, she was almost 20 years old and was a U-Boat, so Guiford retired her instead of repairing her. She was parted out over the next few years to support her sisters (one of which, Guilford #288, made it into the 2000's) and then scrapped. 11/23/2022 9:56:45 PM
